五百年后，唐朝僧人唐僧奉旨去西天取经。他路过五行山，听见了悟空的呼喊。唐僧揭下山顶的金帖，大山轰然裂开，悟空跳出来拜他为师，从此叫孙行者。悟空戴着金箍保护师父西行，一路上收了猪八戒、沙和尚，还有白龙马。妖魔鬼怪、八十一难，师徒一步一步走了过来。取回真经，悟空也修成了正果——斗战胜佛。

Five hundred years on, the monk Tang Sanzang set out west to fetch the scriptures. Passing the mountain, he heard Wukong's cry. He lifted the golden seal; the mountain split, and Wukong leaped free to bow before his new master — Pilgrim Sun. Wearing the golden band, he guarded his master westward, gaining Pigsy, Sandy, and the White Dragon Horse. Demons and dangers, eighty-one trials — they overcame them all. The scriptures were won, and Wukong became the Victorious Fighting Buddha.
