1. Who We Are

Chinames 启名中文 (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an online Chinese-language learning platform operated by Qingdao Dehuanyu International Trade Co., Ltd.（青岛德寰宇国际贸易有限公司）, a company registered in the People’s Republic of China.

By creating an account or purchasing any plan, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

The Service consists of digital, self-paced learning products delivered online, including:

• HSK 1–6 structured video courses and lesson materials
• An online practice and exam question bank
• Graded reading materials and audio content
• Study tools such as progress tracking, check-ins and flashcards
• AI-assisted features, including a Chinese name generator and Chinese cultural reference content

All content is delivered immediately through your account after payment. We do not sell physical goods and do not require you to wait for manual delivery.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account; if you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

4. Plans, Pricing and Billing

We currently offer the following paid plans:

Our list prices are shown in Chinese Yuan (CNY), with an approximate US dollar (USD) equivalent displayed next to them for reference. The amount actually charged, and the currency it is charged in, is the amount displayed on the checkout page and on your receipt — our payment partner may apply local currency conversion, so the USD figure shown here is indicative only and may differ slightly from the final charge.

Subscriptions renew automatically. Monthly and annual plans renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. You may cancel at any time from your account or by contacting us; cancellation stops future renewals and does not retroactively refund the current period. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Payment Processing and Merchant of Record

Payments are processed by our Merchant of Record (MoR) partner — the payment provider named on the checkout page and on your payment receipt. The MoR acts as the legal seller of record for your transaction and is responsible for processing your payment, issuing your receipt, and handling applicable sales taxes, VAT and GST on our behalf.

We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Card data is entered directly with our payment partner and is subject to their security and privacy practices.

6. Delivery and Access

Access is granted to the email address associated with your purchase, normally within minutes of a successful payment. If access does not appear within 24 hours, contact us at support@chiname.net and we will activate it manually.

7. Refunds

Refund and cancellation rules are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• share, resell or publicly redistribute your account or any course material;
• scrape, copy, download in bulk, or use automated tools to extract content;
• reverse engineer, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service;
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

9. Cultural and Entertainment Content

Parts of the Service — including Chinese name suggestions, zodiac, horoscope and Ba Zi (八字) reference content — are provided for cultural, educational and entertainment purposes only. They reflect traditional Chinese cultural concepts and linguistic conventions. They are not professional medical, psychological, legal, financial or life advice, and should not be relied upon as a basis for any decision.

10. Intellectual Property

All course content, text, audio, video, illustrations, software and trademarks on the Service are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and related laws. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the content for your own learning. No ownership is transferred.

11. Availability and Changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features, plans and content may be added, changed or withdrawn. If we discontinue a plan you have paid for, we will provide access for the remainder of the period you have paid for, or a pro-rata refund.

12. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties and our total liability arising from or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. If you are a consumer resident outside China, you may also benefit from the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. We will always try to resolve any dispute with you amicably first.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page, with the effective date shown above, is the version in force. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email.
