悟空嫌官小，一气之下回到花果山，自封齐天大圣。天兵天将下界捉拿他，却被他打得落花流水。玉帝只好请他上天看守蟠桃园。园里的仙桃又大又甜，悟空吃了个痛快，还偷喝了仙酒、偷吃了金丹。酒醒闯了大祸，他索性一个筋斗逃回花果山。十万天兵布下天罗地网，悟空抡起金箍棒毫无惧色。这一场大闹天宫，让全天下都记住了他的名字。

Insulted by a petty title, Wukong named himself Great Sage, Equal of Heaven. Heavenly soldiers came to arrest him — he sent them tumbling. The Jade Emperor made him keeper of the Peach Garden, where the peaches were huge and sweet; Wukong ate his fill, stole immortal wine and golden pills. Seeing the trouble when he sobered up, he somersaulted home. A hundred thousand soldiers closed in — Wukong spun his staff without fear. His havoc in heaven made his name known to the whole world.
